Things we are NOT doing at weddings anymore

❌ Hiring the cheapest DJ because “they’re just playing music.”

Please, NO. 😭

Your DJ is basically the vibe manager of your entire reception.

They’re reading the room, keeping the timeline moving, making announcements, transitioning between events, communicating with your coordinator and deciding whether the dance floor stays PACKED or suddenly looks like everyone went home. 💀

Because at the end of the night, your guests are going to remember how your wedding made them feel.

Did they dance all night?
Did they laugh?
Did the energy stay high?
Did nobody want the night to end?

THAT is the experience a great DJ helps create. 🪩🤌

Hot take but your photographer is NOT your day-of coordinator. 👀

Your photographer is there to capture your wedding day, not spend valuable photography time tracking down your wedding party, finding Uncle Mike for family photos, locating bouquets, telling vendors when to move, or figuring out why the timeline is suddenly 30 minutes behind.

That’s where your coordinator comes in. 👏🏼

Before wedding day, we work photography into the timeline… first looks, wedding party portraits, family photos, detail shots, golden hour + all those must-have moments.

Then on wedding day? We help make sure the right people are in the right place at the right time, communicate with vendors, manage transitions, troubleshoot delays + keep everything moving.

Your photographer captures the moments.

Your coordinator helps make sure those moments actually happen.

A great vendor team works together but every vendor should be able to focus on the job you hired them to do. 🤍

THIS is why you hire a wedding coordinator. ❤️

Not because we expect something to go wrong, but because weddings are real life and sometimes it rains. Timelines shift, vendors need answers, décor needs moved, and 100 little things are happening at the exact same time.

Our couples shouldn’t have to worry about any of it. Our goal will always be for our couples to actually experience and enjoy their wedding day while we handle everything happening behind the scenes.

And “I would give her 1,000 stars if I could”?! We might not ever emotionally recover from that one. ❤️😭
