Every event planner dreams of creating unforgettable moments... just not this kind. 😅🔥

At my last event, a live candle got a little too close to the centerpiece. It started by melting the arrangement... then suddenly caught fire. To make matters even more exciting, guests were already seated at the table when it happened.

Thankfully, it was put out quickly, and no one was hurt. God was definitely watching over us.

In moments like these, panic isn't an option. I stayed calm, cleared everything away, replaced the damaged centerpiece, and made sure our guests never had to spend the rest of the celebration staring at burn marks.

People often think event planning is all pretty tables, timelines, and beautiful décor. But behind the scenes, it's problem-solving, quick thinking, and being prepared for the unexpected.

They say planners put out fires... I just didn't expect to do it quite so literally. 😅

For this special 80th birthday celebration, I had the pleasure of designing custom keepsakes that reflected the guest of honor and tied the entire event together… from the invitations that welcomed guests, to the program and menu cards that greeted them at their tables.

Thoughtfully designed stationery doesn't just share information… it tells your story, elevates your event, and creates a polished, cohesive experience your guests will remember.

For this celebration, I chose oversized programs because my client opted not to use chargers or formal place settings. She shared that her father wasn't into anything overly fancy or sparkly, but instead preferred a more laid-back and modest style. The larger programs not only complemented his personality but also filled the place setting beautifully while serving as both a program and menu card.
