My husband is big into movies (achem - films.) Before we head to the theater - where of course we have our monthly unlimited season passes - I get the low-down on the director and what movies they’ve made before, and if this is their film debut… etc etc.

This weekend, we saw Maddie’s Secret, John Early’s screenplay AND directorial debut. On the way, I asked my husband “what’s the difference?” And “how a director can direct when they’re NOT the screenwriter?” My husband said, “It’s kind of like what you do for your clients - you’re the director and your couples are the screenwriters.”

As wedding planners and designers, we read the story you’ve lived and written. We get inspired, and put it on the big screen. Take this neutral get detailed place setting designed perfectly for Lily and Tyler. Guests arrived under the tent, took their seat at the table, and said “this feels just like Lily’s home.”

Ahhhh the often overlooked cocktail hour. Many treat cocktail hour as an after thought. And yet, for guests, it is the first impression of the evening’s experience. A superb cocktail hour is one that is both well timed and well designed. With small bites that leave your mouth watering and excited for dinner, sips that give a nod to the couple’s favorite date night, and seating that creates the perfect pockets for conversation as guests ease into the celebration. That’s the magic of an event that is not only well planned, but well designed. It starts to tell the couple’s story, and it builds guest excitement for what’s to come 🪄

A welcome party with a view. 🌄

There’s no other way to celebrate when nature is showing off this much. We kicked off Sam and Audrey’s wedding weekend with a rehearsal dinner and welcome party overlooking the great Smokey Mountains. Our VIPs sat down with a plated multi-course meal by award winning deron and the rest of the guests joined for a welcome party with custom cocktails and late night bites as the sun set over the mountains.
