Been working on some pattern matching and I thought I would share my process:
1) cut out your base. Lay the pattern on right side up fabric. Put the pocket pattern right on top of the base pattern, lining up your pattern dots. Pin the pocket pattern down so it won't shift
2) lay your pocket fabric on top of bothering patterns, right side up, using the edges to match up your pattern.
3) pin your pocket fabric to the pocket pattern in 3 spots- remember that you need to unpin the pattern from the base before you move it.
4) flip your pocket fabric over (with the pattern attached and cut it out!

Once you make your pocket it will be pretty obvious where it goes :)
