Futuremod Studios is currently casting actors and actresses for an upcoming short film production. Please read the synopsis and casting call information below for more information. This film is a no budget film, being funded out of pocket and is intended for submission to upcoming film festivals. We're looking for determined and dedicated people to join our cast and make this short film truly epic.
All auditions will be done in person and on camera and will be a cold read audition.
LIFE OF A LIGHTER
Life of a Lighter is an experimental film giving a glimpse into the lives of five characters all dealing with different aspects of life. The lighter moves from character to character, seeing them at their most intimate, as well as the facades they put up for their loved ones, and strangers alike.
CASTING CALL - LIFE OF A LIGHTER
ETHAN - Male, Mid 30s to Mid 40s. Regrets settling down. Adultery. (Has a s*x scene. No Nudity necessary.)(Smokes ci******es)
ELLIE - Female, Mid 30s to Mid 40s. Depression. She closes herself off. (Smokes W**d)
DARREN - Male, 15. Alpha Male type. Kinda do***ey, and thinks he knows everything. Stoner. (Smokes w**d)
TIM - Male, 15. Wants to seem cool to Darren. Has recently changed paths. (Smokes w**d)
KELCY - Female, Early 20s. She was a very sheltered child, and has recently moved out on her own. She is rebelling a little too hard. Doing drugs and sleeping with people. (Has a s*x scene. No nudity necessary.) (Smokes ci******es, Smokes W**d)
JENNIFER - Female, Early 20s. Chill type of girl. Has a kid.
JARROD - Male, Mid 20s. Tragedy stricken. Ju**ie riddled with guilt. Was a rich kid growing up. Got kicked out for drugs. Trying to turn his life around. (Smokes Ci******es & Crack)
AMY - Female, Mid 20s. Ju**ie. Was a rich kid. Left her family to move in with her BF.
COUNSELOR - Preferably Male, but a Female can work too. 30s to 50s. Wise, and blunt.
MINDY - Female, 20s or 30s. Another tragic tale. She just wants to get her kids back.
JOE - Male, 20s +. Preferably older. Loose cannon. Thinks he’s smoother than he is and has very little shame.
DAN - Male, 20’s. New Father. Has quit doing drugs since his baby momma died. He is working on being there for his daughter. (Smokes ci******es)
AVA - Female, 4 or 5. Plays with a sparkler.
JAIME - Female, 15. Plays a game and laughs.
BAR PATRONS - Must be 21 or Older. QUANTITY - 10+
PARTY PEOPLE - Must be 18 or older. QUANTITY - 10+
2 COPS - Cop-like?
ALL ACTORS MUST BE 18 OR OLDER, BESIDES AVA. AND IT IS PREFERRED THAT THE ACTOR PLAYING DAN IS HER ACTUAL FATHER.
