We're excited to announce Madison Abigail, soprano, Graduation Recital is Saturday, May 3rd! The performance begins at 5pm in Carswell Concert Hall!
Madison Abigail Jones is a singer-songwriter, guitarist, classically trained soprano, and independent music artist from Ayden, North Carolina. She is a senior at Meredith College and will graduate with a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance degree. Abby has had the privilege of studying in the voice studio of Dr. Jeanie Wozencraft-Ornellas. As an undergraduate, Abby made her professional debut with the North Carolina Opera in their production of Puccini's La Bohème and performed in their 2024 production of Verdi's Ernani. She performed with the White Iris Light Opera for four consecutive years, most recently starring as Nanette in their production of No, No, Nanette. Furthermore, she performed a sophomore and junior recital, appeared as a guest soloist with the Triangle String Orchestra, traveled and performed with the Meredith College Chorale, making her debut at Carnegie Hall in 2023, interned and performed with the North Carolina Opera Education and Outreach program, and performed with the Raleigh Symphony Orchestra as a Concerto Aria winner. In 2023, she released Madison Abigail, her self-written, self-produced debut EP, after years of writing and performing. Abby has recently released a new self-written EP, Sunday Matinée, on all music streaming platforms. Abby is excited to begin her graduate studies at Berklee College of Music in Valencia, Spain this fall. For more information, visit madisonabigailmusic.com.
