Making 6 feet look pretty glamorous! 😍 During weddings, there is a certain closeness that is celebrated; both physically and emotionally. 💛 Social distancing can seem nearly impossible (or desirable, for that matter). But, we are lucky during these times to have ceilings so elevated + windows and walls so far reaching that make safe distancing that much easier. 🤗
We know that wedding planning during a pandemic is not for the faint of heart. There are many hard conversations to be had right now about your plans + preferences for moving forward with a postponement or a small celebration. Whichever is ideal or fits your wishes is totally up to YOU! 💛

Lately, it seems everything around us is continuously changing. It's been a rough few weeks, y'all. Today, we wanted to take time to shed some light and share some happy change! ☺️

Hi! 👋 I'm Sarah, the Events Manager at HQ Raleigh & the Cannon Room. Here, we cowork by day and celebrate by night. 🌃 I joined the HQ Team full-time in early December, leaving my career in the mental health world behind. But, I am no stranger to the hospitality, restaurant, or events industry. In fact, some of you may recognize me from my own business that began when I left NY and relocated to Raleigh about 4 years ago. 🌟

I didn't just come to say hi. I also wanted to lend a hand, ear, or shoulder- whatever may be needed by those of you who may be experiencing stress, struggle, or sadness with the changes due to the COVID crisis. 💛 To our 2020 couples: I'm here for you. 🌲 Henry + Emma | 1.04.20🌲 These two had the most dazzling winter wedding.✨ Not to mention this was the most fragrant arch to date. It was so simply eco-chic and they did such a wonderful job making it uniquely them! 💗 Emma did a great job on her layout which allowed guests to stay comfortably seated at their tables during the ceremony with exceptional views of the two saying "I do!" ☺️ We're over the moon about this unique look. Loved getting to host this!

Last night was a BLAST!!!! We celebrated a very Hygge Chanukah with the Chabad Young Professionals Raleigh last night at The Cannon Room! There was a homemade donut wall, a dreidel competition, signature drinks, cozy socks, amazing sweaters, and an all around good time. bovarastudios and I had SOOOOO much fun!!!

Stephanie and Michael’s breezy day wedding was absolutely breath taking! They turned our space into a fairytale dream.

One of the things I loved most about Stephanie and Michael's downtown Raleigh wedding day was how completely unfazed everyone seemed to be about the cold weather (even this Florida girl and her frozen fingers found myself totally forgetting about it while I was snapping away). It helps that it was the "best day ever" and possibly all the gorgeous fur shrugs each of the bridesmaids had a chance to throw on and look super stylish in played a role too. What a beautiful group, lovely couple and completely wonderful day it was through and through. Thanks for inviting me in for the fun (for another Huston sister wedding)! Congrats you two!

EXCITING NEWS for The Cannon Room! We are excited Elizabeth has the opportunity to head to Savannah to grow her business! We will miss her for sure. This change left us with an open position, which we decided to move to a full-time sales and coordinator role. We're super pumped that Sarah Chick Downs, of Unearthed Events is joining the HQ Raleigh and Cannon Room team to handle our Event Sales, Coordination and Marketing! Starting December 9th, she's your gal! Christie will still be handling events that have contracted her for planning but she will now be focusing on the leasing and development side of HQ's business! We love you all, and know you will truly enjoy working with Sarah! Please give Sarah a WARM WELCOME to our team!!
