Some of the most meaningful moments aren’t found in the design details, but in the connections built along the way.

With the Maliks, that bond began on To***co Road—Navjeet and I share the Winston-Salem area roots, while both parties stand firmly on opposite sides of the Carolina–Duke rivalry divide. I’m a loyal Tar Heel, they’re devoted Blue Devils, and our planning visits often included as many spirited debates (and the occasional March Madness watch party) as they did wedding details.

Evenings would wind down with glasses of wine that led to great bourbon, unhurried conversations, and stories that stretched far beyond logistics. Those moments reminded me that this “work” is never just about a single day—it’s about a family entrusting me with their story, and the privilege of becoming part of it.

It will always be my greatest honor to walk alongside families like the Maliks, creating not just celebrations but chapters of connection, care, and joy.

Some details feel like décor. Others feel like storytelling. Every touch at Miranda and Matt’s wedding was infused with meaning, designed not just to wow, but to invite—to bring guests deeper into the life they have created together.

Cocktail hour was a love letter to their traditions: oysters on ice, buttery lobster rolls, and deviled eggs courtesy of their own hens. The es**rt card display, a nod to Matt’s love of golf, blended playfulness with sophistication. And the setting itself embraced everything wonderful about a Southern summer—the stretch of daylight, the hum of conversation over clinking glasses, the scent of fresh blooms floating on the breeze.

This wedding wasn’t just beautiful; it was also alive—with personality, with purpose, with impressions that lingered like the cherished memories of summer nights spent with those who matter most.

When you think of a Southern summer wedding, hydrangeas often come to mind—and we embraced them in full. Instead of a traditional wedding arch, we envisioned something more immersive, more transportive: a full floral wall. A 33’ wall of over 4,000 blooms, to be exact. A sweeping composition of soft blues, butter yellow, and creamy whites, it framed the ceremony with the romance of a garden in full bloom.

The vision was brought to life by the incredibly talented , whose artistry and attention to detail transformed florals into atmosphere. The flower wall was just the beginning—delicate arrangements lined the aisle, chandeliers dripped with blooms, and the air itself was filled with the scent of fresh hydrangea and garden roses.

It wasn’t just decor; it was an experience. A space not just to be seen, but to be felt—layered with texture, fragrance, and an undeniable sense of place

Rich burlwood, soft patterns, and a palette of butter yellow and Carolina blue set the tone. Under the grandeur of an expansive clear top tent, pattern and movement played harmoniously with the flicker of candlelight, evoking the essence of a perfect Southern summer evening.
