DIY Tip: Creating a Realistic Event Budget

‼️Before you book anything, decide what matters most.

Every beautiful event has three spending categories:
✔️Where to focus
✔️Where to splurge
✔️Where to be thrifty

📍Start with your priority. What will guests remember most? For WEDDINGS, it is often 📸 photography, food, or entertainment. For PARTIES, it might be the statement backdrop, florals, or overall ambiance. Allocate the largest portion of your budget there.
📍Where to splurge
Spend more on the elements that shape the experience. Photography captures memories. Catering shapes guest satisfaction. Entertainment controls the energy. These are rarely areas to cut corners.
📍Where to be strategic
Decor accents, signage, favors, and small detail pieces can often be simplified or DIYed beautifully. Thrifted vessels, rented candles, digital invitations, or repurposed ceremony florals can stretch your budget without sacrificing style.
📍Where to save
Print materials, excess decor, and trendy extras that do not enhance the guest experience. If it does not impact how the event feels, consider scaling it back.

🫶A realistic budget is not about spending less. It is about spending intentionally.
When you align your budget with your priorities, the entire event feels elevated, even if it is simple.
