If I could give couples one major piece of early planning advice, it would be this:

✨ BOOK YOUR KEY VENDORS EARLY — right after you’ve decided on a date.
There is an ideal order, and following it prevents unnecessary stress and confusion.

Here’s the recommended booking order and why:

1️⃣ Venue
Your venue determines your date, layout, logistics, and any vendor restrictions. Everything else builds around this decision.

2️⃣ Planner / Coordinator
Once you have your date + venue, secure your coordinator. We help align your decisions, manage logistics, and ensure the rest of your vendor bookings make sense together.

3️⃣ Catering
Caterers book quickly and require early planning for menu, staffing, and service style. Locking them in early keeps your timeline on track.

4️⃣ Photographer/Videographer
Great photographers book 12–18 months out. If you want someone whose style you love, don’t wait.

5️⃣ DJ / Entertainment
Your entertainment sets the tone for the entire celebration. Quality DJs and musicians fill their calendars fast.

6️⃣ Florals
Your florist can’t design without your venue, layout, and menu decisions. Booking them after your key vendors allows for intentional design.

✨ And the rest of your vendors will come after. When these core vendors are secured, you avoid service gaps and ensure every moving piece works together.

When vendors finally get a quick break to grab a bite, it’s usually in record time — faster than any drive-thru! 😂 Most of us barely get to sit down before we’re back on our feet keeping your day running smoothly.

Here’s a little behind-the-scenes truth 👇🏾

🎧 Your DJ can’t leave the station — they’re managing the music and announcing tables for dinner.
📸 Your photographer might be scarfing down a meal just before the next set of special dances.
💐 Your coordinator (hi, that’s us!) is likely checking in with vendors, confirming transitions, or ensuring the couple is actually taking a moment to eat too!
