Let’s talk about “competition.”
I don’t have any.
Cocky? Absolutely not.
Our goals are all different.
I genuinely WANT other people to do well. I want to see people succeed. I want to hype them up, share their wins, send customers their way, and celebrate when something they’ve worked hard for takes off.
Because I don’t believe success is a pie where there’s only so much to go around.
When ONE business does well, it can trickle down and benefit ALL of us. When one vendor grows, the whole community can grow. When people are excited about shopping small, everyone wins.
There is room for you.
There is room for me.
There is room for ALL of us.
And honestly? This business can bring out the absolute worst in some people.
Jealousy. Comparison. Competition. Hate. Talking about one another instead of cheering each other on.
And I just don’t want any part of that.
I would much rather be the person clapping the loudest when someone else wins.
Because their success doesn’t take anything away from mine. 👏👏👏
There is enough room at the table. Let’s stop fighting over the seats and start pulling more chairs up. 🫶
