Finally got that broccoli planted today at Dane Hill Farm. I took some pics of the herb garden, most have returned which makes me happy. I also brought my peppers, eggplants and tomatoes up from the cozy basement and started the hardening process. Only two hours today, it was too cold and windy.

I think I have a little bit of beginner’s luck growing these ranunculus and anemones. Check out my corms now! These are cooler season flowers, really hope I get some blooms before the furnace turns on. Felt so good to dig in the soil on this beautiful Earth Day, I’m happy to be back working at Dane Hill Farm.

Trying something new this year, growing anemones and ranunculus from The Farm at Oxford. I’m presprouting the corms in a cool location after soaking in water for 4 hours. Hoping to see some root formation in the next few weeks, stay tuned.

It’s that time of year again at Dane Hill Farm, I’m seed starting some alliums on a biodynamic root day. Trying some new varieties of onions and shallots, here’s to another successful growing season!
