True tribute to everything great about 80's Sci-Fi-/Teen Scary films. A perfect mix of Goonies, Stand by Me, Firestarter, Alien tinted by Labyrinth, with a splash E.T. The childless empress from Narnia shows up and all hell breaks loose.

All the best parts of Weird Science, War Games, and a great brother sister dynamic make it all worthwhile.Free of clichés but completely reminiscent for anyone nearing 40 or well in.

All the kid cast is amazing and Winona Ryder is finally grown up and motherly and the best since she was a teen queen. Watch it, alone together or with your dog. Sorry millennials!

Sorry but "By the Sea" looks super film school, and by the way why would I want to see a purportedly happy couple play-fight on camera. Once you are happily married you have to follow the "Overboard" model of animosity mixed in humor or the Spencer/Hepburn formula where working together is when they are at their best. "Mr and Mrs. Smith" worked because they were falling for each other on/off camera. Take a note from "Seven" and play a loving couple in dramatic situations. Not cool to place beautiful, rich people in beautifully rich scenes, and play-hate. Seems and insular point of view from people we know have an understanding of the suffering of these times when love, luxury and happiness are not a given. For sadists and Bradgelina-philes.
