Quincy Garden Club Members gathered for their Annual Conservation Meeting & Chili Supper at the Quincy Garden Center. The Amaryllis and Poppy Circles meet jointly several times throughout the club year, which runs from September through May. The guest speaker of the evening was Danielle Williams, who is the UF/IFAS Multi-County Commercial Horticulture/Citrus Agent for Gadsden and surrounding counties in the Panhandle. She provided insightful information regarding citrus trees and how they respond to freezing conditions.

Members of the Quincy Garden Club Amaryllis Circle met recently for their January meeting at the Bear Creek Educational Forest Center in Quincy. Charlie Maynard and the on-site Forest Ranger gave a presentation to the group about the history of the Bear Creek area near Lake Talquin, as well as informing them of the native plants which can be found on the trails of the forest. The ladies also learned about all the incredible education programs and projects at the Bear Creek Educational Forest.
