our grandpa was known for collecting coins, but especially pennies and the old rare wheat pennies , picked lots out to save… over 12,500 pennies with more to go , its been a fun project to say the least .. sure noisey one too 😂

Tuesday West Coast Swing lessons with Souvenir Swing and Thursday Line Dance Lessons with Chloe are cancelled for the rest of December. West Coast Swing lessons will recommence in January 6th. Line Dance lessons will also return In January, the date to come.

Don’t forget the New Year’s Eve Night for Hope Dance, Dec 31st, 7-10pm at the Whelan-Ewartsville Grange Hall.

viral doner kebobs 🌶️

this turned out sooo delicious, here was our take on the recipe!!

ingredients:
1tsp or few shakes extra of following:
-cinnamon , coriander , cumin, garlic, lemon juice, onion, 1.5lbsground beef, pitas , tzatziki sauce , feta , lettuce/sprouts (from )

blend onion and fresh garlic, add to ground beef and all seasonings& lemon juice . mixed until fine . place some on parchment paper, roll out thin, than remove top parchment and roll it up. place on sheetpan

cut onions , peppers and tomatoes , okaceon sheetpan with meat rolls and drizzle with oil.

put in oven preheated to 400F for 25 mins or until cooked

take out meat and unroll, place back on sheetpan with veggies and broil till crispy .

assemble on pita with meat , feta , lettuce,
veggies and sauce !

How this fair got started

Years ago, my husband through out a challenge to the “girls” to set up a successful fair. (we already had the fall fair going) We looked around and decided to put a fair on WSU Mom’s Weekend. The first year was in the basement of a church near campus nestled near the Greek houses. The facility was small. We had, I think, 30 vendors squeezed in. The weather was awful, wind, rain, dismal. There was also an active shooter in the vicinity so the police were present and concerned that we were there. But, we had our vendors in and we put out a sign, balloons, and opened the doors. We were swamped!!!! Good thing the fire marshal was not aware of us.

After the dust settled, we looked at each other and said “I think we need a bigger venue!” We went looking and Beasley Coliseum was a wonderful choice. I think we are on 28 years.

Ginger was a young teen and grew up with the fairs, granddaughter Sammy has grown up with the fairs. They are a true small “family” effort.
