Hello everyone,
I want to take a moment to share an important update regarding Isaac Cooks and how I will be operating moving forward. As of March 11th, 2026, I will no longer be going out around the city to sell burritos in person. Instead, I will continue making burritos exclusively for pickup orders.
This decision was not easy for me to make. One of the things I have always enjoyed the most about running Isaac Cooks is being able to go out, meet new people, connect with the community, and serve customers face to face. Over time, many of you have become more than just customers you have become supporters of a small business that I truly care about. Seeing familiar faces, hearing positive feedback, and knowing that people enjoy the food I work hard to make has always meant a lot to me.
Unfortunately, there have been some recent situations that have made things more difficult and stressful. There has been a rumor circulating claiming that I “stole” a DoorDash order. I want to make this very clear: the person shown in that photo is not me. Being falsely accused of something like that is extremely upsetting, especially when I have worked hard to build a positive reputation and earn the trust of my customers.
Running a small business takes time, dedication, and a lot of personal effort. When rumors or false accusations are spread, it can damage someone’s reputation and affect the hard work they have put into building something for their community. I have always tried to treat people with respect, provide good food, and run my small business honestly. It is disappointing to see misinformation being shared that does not reflect who I am or what Isaac Cooks stands for.
In addition to the rumors, there have also been situations where people have been unnecessarily rude or disrespectful. While I understand that not everyone will always be positive, constant negativity can make it difficult to continue operating the same way I have been.
Because of all of this, I believe the best decision for me right now is to take a step back from selling out in public and continue operating through pickup only orders. This change will allow me to keep doing what I enjoy making burritos and serving the people who support my business while also protecting my peace and avoiding unnecessary situations.
Please know that I am truly saddened to make this change. Going out and selling burritos in person has been a big part of the journey of Isaac Cooks, and it has allowed me to meet many great people along the way. I will always appreciate those moments and the encouragement I have received from the community.
I also want to take a moment to thank everyone who has supported Isaac Cooks from the beginning and those who continue to support me today. Whether you have purchased burritos, shared my posts, recommended my food to others, or simply shown kindness and encouragement, it truly means more to me than you may realize. Small businesses grow because of the people who believe in them, and I am grateful for every single one of you.
I hope everyone can understand and respect this decision as I continue to move forward in the best way possible. Isaac Cooks will still be here, still making burritos, and still serving the customers who continue to support what I do.
Thank you all for your understanding, your support, and your kindness.
