Dr. Ida (Hoffman) Martin, SWOSU Athletic Hall of Fame – Class of 2025!🐾

A true Bulldog legend, Ida made her mark on SWOSU Softball from 2001-2004:
- 2004 Lone Star North Co-Player of the Year and three-time First Team selection (2001, 2002, 2004)
- Three-time LSC All-Academic honoree and CoSIDA Academic All-District selection
- All-time SWOSU leader in doubles (56) and top three in hits, RBIs, and total bases
- Two-time SWOSU Softball Player of the Year (2003-2004) and continued supporter through the SWOSU Softball Endowment.

Ida’s record-setting career and lifelong support for SWOSU Softball continue to inspire Bulldogs everywhere.

Joyce Dean Rainwater
December 11, 1944 — July 20, 2025

Joyce Dean Rainwater, 80, of Claremore, passed away on July 20, 2025, in Collinsville, Oklahoma. Born on December 11, 1944, in Pryor, she was the daughter of Alfred McClellan and Melba (Bates) McClellan. Joyce was a devoted homemaker who poured her heart into raising her family. She and her beloved husband, Mack Rainwater, shared nearly 50 years of marriage before his passing in August 2022. Together, they lovingly raised six children. Joyce had a knack for finding hidden treasures and took great joy in bargain hunting, garage sales, and antique shopping. Her family will always remember her sharp eye for a deal, her warm spirit, and the deep love she had for each of them. She leaves behind a legacy of love, family, and resilience that will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 25, 2025, in the Graham Memorial Cemetery with Isaac Hollihan officiating. Come and go visitation will be held throughout the day on Thursday, July 24, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. To leave her family a message, please visit her tribute wall at www.shipmansfuneralhome.com. Joyce is survived by her sons, Acie Davis and wife Kristin of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Gregg Davis and wife Kellie of Inola, Oklahoma, and Rusty Vann and wife Kim of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; daughters, Deana Hollihan and husband John of Owasso, Oklahoma, Bobbie Pettey and husband Curtis of Collinsville, Oklahoma, and Sherry Crumpton and husband Rex of Claremore, Oklahoma; sister, Carolyn Stricklen of Locust Grove, Oklahoma; many grandchildren and great grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Melba McClellan; husband, Mack Rainwater; and brother, Billy McClellan.
