We are very excited to have Roiju on as our guest for the mix series. We might be biased - but this is definitely one of the best mixes of 2026 so far!! He decided to do a mix of the sounds and atmospheres that inspired both his most recent record, “Whirlpool,” and an LP that he started last year that will be finishing for a release later this year.

Boston-based, Miami-born producer, DJ, and visual artist Justin Roig—better known as Roiju—crafts club music with a restless, shape-shifting energy. A first-generation Cuban-American, Roiju emerged in 2014 after an early stint in the vaporwave underground as CAST, quickly embedding himself in Miami’s fertile but often overlooked experimental scene. His trajectory has spanned sweaty warehouse sets, left-of-center SoundCloud drops, and releases for labels like Space Tapes, Schematic Music Company, Finesse Trax, Optikal, and Omnidisc.
While his current output leans into the outer fringes of club music, Roiju’s DNA is rooted in Miami’s rich, weird electronic lineage—drawing from IDM, Miami Bass, Freestyle, Trip-Hop, and the jagged edges of deconstructed club. His tracks often read like love letters to the city’s hidden sonic history, refracted through a modern, bass-heavy lens.
In Boston, Roiju steers Body Method, a record label and party series “focused on the interplay of mind, body, and sound.” With a growing international roster, Body Method treats both the booth and the dance floor as testing grounds for the full spectrum of electronic music—no genres, just good music. It’s a space where boundary-pushing rhythms meet physical release, and where the pulse of the club becomes a shared, collective language.
