Six artists. Six perspectives. One exhibition exploring what it means to search, remember, disappear, discover, and find your way back.

The 2026 Accelerate Artist Professional Development Program cohort — Aja Delgado (Aja🧿), Pamela Fernández (pamela), Leia Fifer (LEIA ///), Yasmine Hassan (Yasmine Hassan 🇸🇩🇬🇦), Amelia Rozear (Amelia), and Rachel Turner (rachelturner2) — comes together for Lost & Found, a group exhibition spanning photography, printmaking, wood marquetry, fibers, illustration, mixed media, and more.

Together, these artists invite us to lose — and perhaps find — ourselves in their worlds.

Meet Matt Stone, co-founder of Gather, which includes Gather Glass ( Gather Glass ), Gather Farm ( Gather Farm ) and Gather Café ( Gather Cafe & Ice Cream Bar ) and co-owner of GatherWealth Investment Management ( Financial Planning | Tax Planning | Business Consulting ).

For more than 25 years, Matt has combined his work in finance with a passion for art, food, farming, and bringing people together. He and his businesses are longtime supporters of organizations working in food security, environmental stewardship, farmland preservation, and the arts.

Matt has also been a longtime friend and supporter of WaterFire and helps provide affordable creative space for local artists, including the Clubhouse, home to the Providence Drum Troupe.

We’re thrilled to honor Matt at the 10th Annual FireBall on September 16 at the WaterFire Arts Center.

Meet Kathleen Pletcher, arts leader, festival-maker, and creative placemaker whose work has shaped how artists and audiences connect across Rhode Island and beyond.

As Founder and Executive Artistic Director of FirstWorks, Kathleen transformed Providence’s one-night First Night festival into a year-round performing arts and education organization, growing it into a cultural engine for the state. Her vision brought global innovators to Rhode Island stages, including Yo-Yo Ma’s Silkroad Ensemble, Kronos Quartet, BANDALOOP, and Paul Taylor Dance Company.

She also conceived PVDFest, now one of Providence’s signature civic arts festivals, drawing more than 75,000 attendees every year.

In 2025, Kathleen was inducted into the Providence Warwick Convention and Visitors Bureau’s Tourism Hall of Fame.

We’re thrilled to honor Kathleen at the 10th Annual FireBall on September 16 at the WaterFire Arts Center.

Join artists Scott Foster and Miciah Stasis-Harding for a conversation about their work in the exhibition.

Scott Foster (Hassanamisco Nipmuc)
Photographer documenting Indigenous life across New England. Through images from powwows, gatherings, and cultural practices, Scott’s work celebrates the living presence and strength of Indigenous cultures today. Philosophy: “Capture the Moment...Share the Experience.”

Miciah Stasis-Harding (Herring Pond Wampanoag)
Traditional tattoo practitioner, wampum and quill artist. Miciah carries forward ancestral practices across Turtle Island through hand-poked tattooing, wampum work, and quillwork—keeping these art forms alive while honoring cultural survival and community healing.

Meet Elaine and Barry Fain, proud third generation members of a Rhode Island family with a longstanding tradition of philanthropy and civic involvement.

Elaine’s leadership includes Classical High School, Brown University, Rhode Island Humanities, and the Rhode Island Medical Women’s Association, which she helped found. Barry has devoted himself to the Rotary Club of Providence, United Way, Providence Preservation Society, WaterFire Providence, and Moses Brown School, along with a lifelong passion for local journalism through his free community magazines, serving Rhode Island neighborhoods for 50 years.

Celebrate an exciting new chapter for WaterFire Providence at our signature fundraising event, honoring this year’s distinguished award recipients while supporting the future of WaterFire.
