September first has come, and with it, we close a chapter. We have seen our last guests in Presque Isle and our doors are closed for good. There is a deep, twisty well of emotions as there often is with major change. Sadness is inevitable. This little store was the birthplace of our entire company; the foundation for all that we have built. It was home to so many beautiful memories the people of our communities entrusted us with. It was our birthplace. But it is not our ending.

This marks the end of an era and we must give it the significance it deserves. But we also feel peace. Peace at the organic way in which this decision came about; peace in the direction we all will go from here; and peace in the way that we have chosen to end this season. That peace allows us to look back with fondness on all the incredible things that happened because of this little store and look towards the beautiful future ahead.

I bought this store when I was 23. I grew up with it. It saw me through joy, heartache, and the most exhilarating challenges. You, my community, supported my crazy dreams and you made everything we have today possible. You put your faith in me and my team, and I hope we served you well.

Eight years ago God brought me Amber. I must type this because the lump in my throat when I think about her is too great too speak. She, too, grew here. We grew together. She stood by my side through the best and worst times in my life and she led this store with excellence. If you encountered her, you know what I mean. Amber, you are extraordinary and your partnership, friendship, and loyalty mean more to me than I’ll ever be able to express.

Thank you for 11 beautiful years, Presque Isle. You’ll always have my heart.

It is with a very bittersweet mix of emotions that we announce the closure of Grayce Bridal & Formal's Presque Isle location. Our team has always been a close knit family, and as our managers have chosen to move on to other employment, we have decided to close this chapter with their exit. We support them fully in their future endeavors and they will always be family to us. We are so proud of the work we have done for our community in Aroostook County and for our team. We not only survived the challenges of the economy the last 11 years and the COVID shutdown, but we were able to innovate and thrive, much due to the incredible support of our community. We are going out on a high note, with 2021 being a record year.

All team members and current customers have been notified and continuing to serve is our highest priority. We anticipate our Presque Isle store being open through the end of August. Following that time, our Bangor location will oversee all customer correspondence and service. Free shipping of any goods as well as appointments for pick up in Bangor will be offered. All customer questions can be directed to our customer texting portal, email ([email protected]), or phone (2077698611).

While our timeline will not allow us to facilitate the sale of the Presque Isle business as a whole, we will be selling our boutique inventory, e-commerce website, and social media platform (though not the rights to the Grayce name). We know it will be an incredible opportunity for someone to benefit from what we have built over the years and take it to even greater heights, as our e-commerce side holds so much potential. Business was still strong in Presque Isle, but we have chosen to narrow our focus to our locations that can thrive with only the bridal & formal side of the business.
