You Were Light is a one-of-a-kind multimedia planetarium show that explores who we are, where we came from and what we’re here for, taking us through the history of the Universe and the creation of the elements that make us.

Combining science and inspiration with live music and stunning visuals, You Were Light joins beautiful images of faraway galaxies, nebulas and interstellar processes with narration by astronomer and high-redshift galaxy expert Dr. Kevin Hainline, interspersed with new original music written and performed by award-winning Tucson songwriter Lara Ruggles. The result is an awe-inspiring celestial journey.

You Were Light debuted on July 24, 2025 at Flandrau Planetarium on the University of Arizona campus in Tucson to a sold-out crowd (120 tickets).

Here’s what people are saying:
“The show was unlike anything I had ever been to. The combination of Ruggles’ beautiful songs and Dr. Hainline’s voice wove together perfectly. The visuals wrapped around us, making for a mesmerizing experience. More than that, the message of the whole thing was simple and profound and I left feeling centered, grounded and more committed to act in love.” – Rev. Dr. Tracy Howe

“Dr. Hainline made science feel like poetry, communicating a hopeful message that connected intellectual, somatic and emotional modes of understanding and experiencing.” - Raye Winch

“Lara has a voice that was made for space travel”. – Lydia Barker

Don’t miss this opportunity! It sold out at the Cosmos in July and it will sell out again!

Join us at Cosmos Theatre Arts for You Were Light on Saturday, October 17th at 2pm. Tickets available at cosmostheatrearts.org or through the link in our bio.

For nearly two years, Delisa Myles has been tending Inner Ground: A Mycelial Dream into being.

As both a farmer and a dancer, Delisa understands connection in ways that feel deeply rooted. Connections to the earth beneath us, in the ecosystems that sustain us, and in the relationships we build with one another.

That understanding lives at the heart of Inner Ground. Through movement, creativity, honesty, and passion, Delisa creates spaces where people can connect more deeply: with the work, with each other, and perhaps with parts of themselves.

As co-director of Inner Ground, she brings a perspective shaped by years of listening, to bodies, to people, and to the living worlds around her.

Meet Delisa, and step a little deeper into the world of Inner Ground: A Mycelial Dream.
