Some brides fill the room with energy.

Others have a presence that doesn't need to ask for attention.

Drew was the latter.

There was something beautifully understated about her on her wedding day. Nothing forced. Nothing overly complicated. Just this quiet confidence that made photographing her feel incredibly natural.

And I think that's one of the things I love most about bridal portraits.

They don't have to be elaborate to be meaningful. They don't have to transform you into someone else. Sometimes the most beautiful photographs happen when there's enough space for you to simply be yourself.

Years from now, I hope Drew doesn't look at these photographs and only remember how she looked.

I hope she remembers how it felt to be her on this day.

Life has been moving fast lately—and I've been a little quiet on social media for a pretty good reason.

I've been behind the camera creating.

One of the greatest honors this season has been working alongside Prattville High School Athletics , helping tell their story through photography, videography, and design.

As a Prattville High alum myself, it's been pretty incredible coming back to a place that was once part of my own story and now being trusted to document this chapter for another generation of students.

And I'll admit—I never imagined I'd become a "school photographer."
But I also don't think that's really what this has become.
It's storytelling.

It's capturing the intensity before the game, the personality behind the uniform, the traditions, the school pride, the athletes, the band, the cheerleaders and all of the people who make Friday nights and fall athletics what they are.

These photographs aren't just content for today. Someday, they'll become reminders of what it felt like to be here.

I'm incredibly grateful to Prattville High School for trusting me to help tell that story—and we're only getting started.

As a new school year begins, I'm reminded that for another incredible group of seniors, this chapter has already come to a close.

Over the past year, I had the privilege of photographing each of these young men and women as they celebrated one of life's biggest milestones. Every session was unique because every senior brought their own personality, passions, and story.
Now they're beginning new adventures—college campuses, careers, military service, trade schools, and opportunities they may not have even imagined yet.

I hope these photographs always remind them of where it all began.

To the Class of 2026, thank you for allowing me to be a small part of your story. I wish each of you nothing but success, happiness, and fulfillment in whatever lies ahead.

And to the Class of 2027…

Your senior year is about to begin, and I can't wait to tell your story next.

For the past five years, I've had the privilege of photographing the remarkable young women of the Autauga County Distinguished Young Women program.

Every portrait represents far more than a dress, a medal, or a smile for the camera. It represents years of hard work, leadership, service, and dedication that brought each of these young women to this moment.

One day these photographs will mean something entirely different.

They'll remind them where their journey began. Before college. Before careers. Before marriages and families. They'll become a small piece of their story—a reminder of the person they were while standing on the edge of everything that was still to come.

Photography isn't always about life's biggest celebrations.

Sometimes it's about honoring the milestones that quietly shape who we become.

Some days, you know you’re going to talk about for the rest of your life.
This was one of those days.

From the quiet moments before the ceremony to walking out of the church as husband and wife. From a room filled with beauty to a dance floor filled with the people they loved most. Every part of this wedding felt alive.

The laughter. The anticipation. The celebration. The kind of joy you wish you could bottle up and keep forever.

And maybe, in a way, that’s exactly what photographs allow us to do.

Years later, the flowers will be gone and the music will have faded, but these moments will still be here. A reminder of how it looked, who was there, and most importantly, how it all felt.

Because an unforgettable wedding day deserves to become an unforgettable part of your family’s history.

And this one certainly was🤍

I've spent some time doing something I've put off for far too long... updating my wedding portfolio.

Some of these photographs are nearly a decade old.

It's funny looking back.

I can see every season of my journey as a photographer. I can see the moments where I was learning how to shape light, where I was experimenting, where I was finding my voice, and where my confidence behind the camera began to grow.

There are photographs here that I am sure I would approach differently today.

Not because they were wrong...
But because experience gives you a bigger toolbox.
The way I see light has changed.
The way I compose has changed.
The way I anticipate moments has changed.

But as I have been culling through thousands of images, I realized something that hasn't changed at all.

I've always chased real moments.
I've always believed wedding photography should feel artistic without losing authenticity.
I've never chased trends.
And I've always poured every ounce of myself into every wedding I have had the privilege to photograph.

Those things were true ten years ago, and they'll still be true ten years from now.

Growth is one of the most rewarding parts of being an artist🤍

One of the things I love most about wedding photography is that no two wedding days ever give you the same light.

In the span of eight or ten hours, I may photograph a bride in soft window light while she's getting ready, step outside into the harsh afternoon sun for a ceremony, chase golden hour portraits through an open field, and then spend the evening creating my own light on the dance floor with off-camera flash.

The light is always changing.

And that's what makes this work so beautiful.

I've learned over the years that photography is, at its core, the art of seeing and shaping light. It's understanding when to embrace it, when to soften it, when to work around it, and when to create it yourself.

You never truly know what kind of lighting situations a wedding day will hand you until you're standing right in the middle of it. That's part of the challenge… and honestly, part of the magic.

These images are all from one wedding day.

Different light.
Different moods.
Different moments.

But together, they tell one complete story🤍

After photographing weddings for more than a decade, I've learned something that surprises a lot of people.

No photographer captures everything.

Not because we aren't trying.
Not because we aren't paying attention.

Simply because a wedding day moves faster than anyone realizes.

A laugh breaks out in one room while a parent quietly wipes away a tear in another. Someone is fastening cufflinks while the flower girl is spinning in her dress. Moments overlap. They always will.

Experience doesn't make you capable of being everywhere.

It teaches you where to be.

It teaches you to anticipate rather than react. To recognize the quiet moments before they become meaningful. To know when to stay still, when to move, and when to simply let a moment unfold.

It's also why I never overlook the details.

The invitation that introduced your wedding day.
The rings you'll wear every morning.
The shoes you searched months to find.
The perfume you'll forever associate with that day.
The dress displayed quietly before anyone sees it.

They're more than beautiful photographs.

They're pieces of the story.

When the day is over, those details become memories just as much as the vows and the celebration. And years later, they're often the photographs that bring you right back to how it all felt.

That's why I continue to photograph them with the same care as every embrace, every tear, and every smile.

Because every wedding deserves its story told from beginning to end.

Every now and then, I revisit a wedding gallery and find myself drawn to the black and white images.

Truthfully, I can't always explain why.

It isn't because color wasn't beautiful. It isn't because black and white is more artistic. Sometimes an image simply feels different when the color is removed. The distractions fade away, and what's left are the moments themselves.

The way he looks at her.
The nervous anticipation before walking down the aisle.
The laughter with lifelong friends.
The quiet moments in between.

Years later, these photographs still feel just as meaningful to me as the day they were made. Not because they're black and white, but because they remind me that great photographs were never about color at all.

They were always about feeling.
