When designing the bouquets for the Miss Kansas and Miss Kansas Teen contestants, I wanted them to represent more than just beautiful flowers. The Miss Kansas organization is about more than a crown or a title—it's about representing our state, serving communities, building connections, and celebrating the people and places that make Kansas special.
So I decided to incorporate that into the flowers as well.
I intentionally sourced flowers from our local growers (find their information below) and collaborated with another floral designer from N'Bloom, LLC as we exchanged ideas and inspiration creating these bouquets. These bouquets became a reflection of Kansas itself. Featuring sunflowers, wheat and prairie-inspired flowers, I wanted them to showcase the beauty, strength, and character of our state.
I'm grateful for the opportunity to highlight not only locally grown flowers, but also the importance of supporting local growers, small businesses, and fellow floral professionals. It was important to me that these bouquets showcase not only the beauty of Kansas, but the people behind it as well.
