Really excited to bring Scott Leeper to Powell this weekend. Many of y’all know him from his long time of playing bass for Ben Miller Band, but if you haven’t heard him lead the show your in for a real treat. I’m gonna post his bio below because I can’t do his accomplishments justice.

International touring and Nashville recording artist Scott Leeper AKA the Kansas Mist,
From age 10 Scott began a career as a musician in the family band. Went on to work in various regional bands including a five year stint with Bluesman Lightnin Malcolm. They traveled to Mississippi to rub elbows with T Model Ford, played the Howling Wolf festival and were invited to play the Wolf family reunion in Chicago. Nearly 20 years ago Scott met Ben Miller, together with Doug Dicharry they worked hundreds of gigs and were finally discovered at SXSW. With the help of management they toured the US, Canada and Europe opening for Valerie June, Blackberry Smoke, George Thorogood, Buddy Guy and did six tours with ZZTOP, three of which were in Europe including a gig at the prestigious Montreux Jazz Festival. When Dicharry moved on Scott and Ben took on blues legends Smillin Bob Lewis and Rachel Ammons for two years. Now retired from the road Scott performs blues shows regionally. His country blues style is authentic as the suspenders he wears every day.
