Friday Field Facts
With warm weather approaching, everyone is excited about practicing outdoors. Here are a few important field facts that will assist us in keeping our sports fields in great condition!

Fields open April 1st for the season.

We are currently working on maintenance and turf projects that can only be
completed during the short window of early spring.

As the ground thaws, giving dormant turf a chance to take root will help the
longevity of the turf during the busy spring/summer season.

Organized practices and games require a reservation through the Parks and
Recreation Department. Reservations can be made by visiting powell.recdesk.com.

If an individual, team, or organization has a field reserved, it is not available for
drop in use.

For profit lessons or instruction is not allowed in any of our parks per City Code 955.12.

Staying off of fields and diamonds during wet conditions will help deter holes, missing turf, pooling, and other issues that can take a season to correct.

Thank you for helping us continue to improve our parks, fields and recreational spaces!
