✨ Throwback Thursday at Kiana Lodge ✨
Today, we’re stepping back through time to celebrate the rich history of Kiana Lodge, our stunning waterfront venue near Poulsbo, WA.

Long before it became a beloved gathering place, this land was sacred to the Suquamish Tribe, serving as a site for community, ceremony, and connection for centuries.

In the 1930s, the property transformed into the Edgewater Beach & Country Club — a rustic summer escape for Seattle’s elite, complete with steamer arrivals, dancing, and games.

During World War II, the peaceful shoreline took on a new purpose as the U.S. Army repurposed the grounds for an aircraft battery station.

After the war, the property became a private estate known as Kiana, gaining recognition for its incredible gardens, dock, and growing role as a gathering place — even landing a spot as a filming location for Twin Peaks.

In 2004, the story came full circle when Port Madison Enterprises of the Suquamish Tribe purchased Kiana Lodge, restoring indigenous stewardship to the land and honoring its deep cultural roots.

Today, Kiana Lodge continues to shine as one of the PNW’s most beautiful venues — a place where history, culture, and celebration come together for weddings, corporate events, and unforgettable moments.
