Hi I’m Kayla! I brings over 15 years of customer service experience and a strong production background to every event we coordinate.

I hold a theatre degree from Penn State with a focus on Stage Management, which has equipped me with the technical knowledge, organizational skills, and calm, behind-the-scenes leadership needed to keep events running smoothly. I’m CPR and First Aid certified, always prepared to assist in the event of a medical emergency.

From decorating a space and managing logistics to repairing a last-minute wardrobe issue, I come prepared with my well-stocked toolkit (and plenty of glue sticks). A lifelong Girl Scout, I’m always ready to problem-solve and take on whatever challenges the day brings.

Hi, I’m Carrollynn! I believe every event, big or small, should be unforgettable and stress-free so you can focus on enjoying the moment instead of managing it.

With a background in hospitality and a college education in Culinary Arts with a Hospitality focus, I bring over 12 years of customer service experience across related hospitality fields. I’m calm under pressure, highly organized, and believe clear, consistent communication is the foundation of any successful event. Building genuine one-on-one relationships is my specialty, I take the time to listen, ask the right questions, and translate your ideas into a clear, executable plan.

I prioritize personalization, attention to detail, and keeping the planning process as stress-free as possible. I believe events should reflect the people behind them, not just the latest trends. I work hand-in-hand with my colleague and best friend, Kayla, pairing strong communication and client advocacy with her hands-on, behind-the-scenes expertise to bring your vision to life.

It’s not just your closet that needs a refresh....your event planning habits might too! 🌿

Here are a few things to “clean up” before your next big event:

1. Count yourself in the headcount 👰🤵‍♂️
Yes, YOU need a meal, a seat, and space too. It IS your event!

2. Overestimate the little things ✂️
Napkins, signage, extension cords, scissors, trash bags...these are the small heroes of every event.

3. Build in buffer time ⏰
If everything goes perfectly on schedule…Great! However, more often than not something goes over by ten minutes. Give yourself wiggle room for setup, vendors, and even your bathroom breaks. You deserve to not feel rushed!

4. Feed your vendors 🥗
Happy vendors = better service. They need a few minutes to recharge to keep your party going.

5. Take your bouquet out of the vase 30 minutes before the ceremony 💐
No one wants water spots on their dress! Remove any bouquets from the vases at least 30 minutes before the ceremony or any photos.

6. Hire a Day of Coordinator 🌿
We will be your best friend way before the day of your event! We’ll double check all the little details so you and your family can have the time of your life!

Hi there! Let us introduce ourselves! 👋

Our names are Carrollynn and Kayla. What began as coordinating weddings and celebrations for friends and family, quickly grew into something more. We discovered that thoughtful planning, creativity, and genuine care can transform an event into a lasting memory. One that feels immersive, intentional, and deeply personal.

We have been best friends since high school (Yes, we have seen ALL life's phases together 😂). Practically inseparable the majority of the time, we are both active in the local theatre community, and have loved being part of a growing local community. You can usually find us spending too much time in a local coffee shop or thrift store, probably laughing just a bit too loud!

Fabled Fern is built on this strong friendship and we bring those values to every event. A shared passion for creating meaningful celebrations for everyone.
