The FAME cast has done it all: first read and sing through, long vocal rehearsals, excruciating choreography days, learning new instruments, set designing, etc., and they have pushed their bodies to the limit every step of the way. "May I remind you that the purpose of Freshman Ensemble is to learn to listen to one another."

We are so excited to welcome back Detrick Borden for another Majestic show! You may have seen him recently when he starred as Paul in A Streetcar Named Desire, JD Drew in Hands on a Hardboday, and a Whiffle in Cry-Baby. Detrick also performed in several productions in the past with the Tamaqua Area Drama Club and is currently the Assistant Director for the PAHS Drama Club. Outside of the theater, Detrick is a Social Studies teacher at PAHS and enjoys ghost hunting, card collecting, and antique collecting. Don't miss Detrick's unyielding performance as Mr Sheinkopf!

Al Miscannon, Pottsville is in his 10th season with The Majestic. Starting in 2016, playing a high school teacher in Back to the 80’s, Al has played a broad spectrum of characters on various county stages. His most recent roles with the Majestic Theater include Steve in A Streetcar Named Desire, various roles in The Dining Room, Marvin in Falsettos, and Jason in Ordinary Days. He now comes full circle, once again playing a high school teacher! Al is excited to share the stage with this cast and crew! Don't miss Al's dedicated performance as Mr Myers!

This is Carissa’s 11th season with the Majestic Theater! Her previous roles include Eunice in A Streetcar Named Desire, Beggar Woman in Sweeney Todd In Concert, Louise Badger in Holiday Inn, Trina in Falsettos, Electra in Gypsy, Mimi’s Mom/Ensemble in RENT, Medda Larkin in Newsies, Mama Morton in Chicago, Titania in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Rhonda in Almost Maine. Carissa also performed as Mrs. Pugh/Sophie/Freida McCracken/Whacky in Annie last summer with Artists in Motion. Don't miss Carissa's compassionate performance as Miss Bell!

The film became a cultural touchstone of the 1980s, celebrated for its raw portrayal of ambition, friendship, sacrifice, and the pursuit of success. The popularity of the film led to the acclaimed 1982 television series and the 2009 feature film remake, proving that its themes of perseverance, creativity, and self-discovery remain as relevant as ever.

"Fame: The Musical" continues that legacy, bringing the story to life on stage with dynamic choreography, powerful vocals, and unforgettable characters. The production features some of the lyrics audiences may know and love from the original soundtrack, including the iconic title song, while expanding the story through an engaging theatrical experience that celebrates the challenges and triumphs of young artists striving to make their mark.
