Suddenly it’s October and we have only a few more weddings until the end of our season. Social media has taken a back seat the past few months, but we can’t wait to share more from the beautiful weddings we’ve been a part of this year.

I still find I have to pinch myself, that this lifelong dream of photographing connections and stories is a reality and I get to do it with my best friend by my side. Couldn’t ask for anything better. To our our couples, planners, and others who have trusted us on these incredibly special once-in-a-lifetime celebrations, we can’t thank you enough.

It’s fun to play with composition and light and not rely on post production. Part of why I love film so much. It forces you to think.

At the airport waiting for our flight back home after a wedding weekend in Minnesota!

Thought we’d share a few favorites from Mya and Rob’s beautiful, colorful, intimate wedding day from a few weeks ago. I ended up with too many favorites to show the whole day, so be on the lookout for part 2 in the future :)

Side note: I almost attempted to make this into a reel because everyone says that’s what we should do and “what the people want to see” - but I’m fighting against that. Photographs are meant to be pondered, viewed with intention, and treasured. Not viewed in 1 second to a beat of a popular song. We could definitely do a better job of keeping up with the algorithm and posting video clips to make IG happy, but for now we are doing what we can do share intentionally during this busy time (when truthfully social media is at the bottom of our priority list). We refuse to keep up without questioning why and want to share our work the same way we want others to experience it. As a story, a way to interact, a way to sit and just be with a photo or film. Experience the memories, the feelings, the wonder, the awe, whatever may come up. Don’t let the algorithm take that from you, either.
