Has Been Up To 💭

Over the past few months, we’ve been taking a thoughtful step inward—reflecting on the heart of La Casa de Mamá and dreaming about where we’d love to take it next. ✨

So far this year, we’ve been focusing more on catering orders and our weekend online pre-orders (which you can always place through our online store! (https://www.lacasademamapdx.com/s/order) ) 💻

We’ve also been cooking up something new behind the scenes… wholesale! We're working on getting our pan dulce into local cafés and restaurants so even more folks can enjoy pan dulce closer to home 🚘

Today, February 3rd, 2025 we stand in solidarity for A Day Without Immigrants

As a migrant-owned business, run by children of immigrants, we take immense pride in being Mexican and sharing the beauty and vibrancy of our culture through our small business with our community in Oregon 🇲🇽

Our community is the backbone of this country’s economy—contributing billions in taxes, even without legal status. Yet, instead of reform, we face a broken immigration system and relentless attacks from the current administration. All we have ever wanted is the right to work, provide for our families, and live without fear.

Today, our absence and lack of spending send a powerful message. But beyond today, we have to remember that we hold power in where we choose to spend, every single day.

Support immigrant-owned and children of immigrant owned businesses, especially in these crucial times. Many local small businesses have closed today in solidarity, making a tough financial decision to stand with our community.

Tomorrow, and every day after, let’s show up for them ✊🏽
