Dear Friends,
After careful consideration, The Outpost will be closing its doors permanently this May. It has been a privilege to serve you, and I am truly grateful for your support over the past year.
We are currently working to ensure a smooth transition of all yoga classes and teachers to our Woodstock location. In the meantime, you can continue to shop with us at elkrockoutpost.com.
The Outpost crystallized the definition of the word community for me, maybe even more than my sixteen years in the yoga industry. I love what we achieved together and would do it again in a heartbeat.
I want to extend a massive thank you to my husband, father, brother, sister, and mom for traveling from Vermont to work at the shop while I was undergoing cancer treatments. My gratitude also goes to the artists and founders who shared their beauty and craft, and to the Elk Rock Yoga community who gathered, taught workshops, and activated the space with presence and healing.
Thank you to Katherine at Built, Beth, Elizabeth, and Nicci at MESO, Portland Means Progress and POIC, and to the customers and regulars who made this vision work. I am also grateful to my business neighbors for sharing the community with me throughout this journey. Thank you to the small but mighty team I trusted with my business. You stepped up whenever I was too sick from treatment or busy at the studio and represented the store as if you were the owner.
