Next Wednesday! 🎨🖌🖼🧶

Perfect for anyone who wants to work on their arts or crafts and either needs the body doubling, the dedicated space/time, or just wants to hang out with fellow artists and crafters. We welcome all levels–we just want to make art together. 

All fine and fabric arts are welcome. Anything from coloring in books to making amiguriumis or quilting to portraiture. Large crafts, like woodworking, may not fit in the space. But we think you’re cool as heck!

We have many tools available for painting, drawing, and collage, but fabric artists will need to bring their own supplies. 

Light snacks and NA drinks provided, and as always, this event is no cost!

Leeba, one of our cohosts, will also be running a table with materials and an introduction to soul collage, an accessible and intuitive collage practice using found images to create a personalized deck of cards for self-reflection, divination, or community sharing; available for anyone interested in participating (or who just wants to collage with old magazines).

RSVP Free Event!

Prepare your performances - new and old - and your puppets - be they made of trash or treasure - we open this space to see and be seen, and support each other as a community of artists. We'll be starting with an entry-level workshop where together we’ll experiment with the building blocks of puppetry - bringing emotion, motivation, and life to everyday trash. In between will be some time to chat and learn with our puppeteers, and we'll end the evening with an open-mic style sharing! Works in progress are welcome and encouraged.

This event is all ages, but is NOT a children's puppet show! There will be adult material. This is a radical puppet event for artsy freaks.

Next week, we will be hosting a theater and tarot workshop by Shekinah Alegra:

Endings · Grief · Transformation · Rebirth

The Death card invites us into the threshold — the place where something ends and something new becomes possible. In this immersive workshop, we’ll explore our personal and collective relationships to death, grief, and change, and the wisdom that emerges when we allow ourselves to release.

Using applied theater, movement, and tarot as a reflective practice, we’ll:
✨ Give form to what we’re ready to let go of
✨ Embody transformation and renewal
✨ Explore grief as a living, creative process
✨ Connect with others navigating endings and beginnings

No tarot or theater experience is needed — just curiosity, presence, and care.

🔮 If you have a tarot deck, please bring the Death card or your whole deck — we’ll work with these directly in the workshop. (Decks not required.)

Our next Justice Jams is happening next week: Saturday, January 10th 1:00 - 3:00 PM 🎶

Join us for an afternoon of connection and catharsis as we share some of our favorite songs of protest and hope! This very casual jam session is open to everyone regardless of any musical experience! Feel free to bring an instrument if you like and we will have a few here too.

We're building a songbook with chords and lyrics for those who like a bit more structure and we are also excited to jam on original pieces people bring from home or we create together. Reach out if you have any suggestions!

Rumble Collective (by Hawthorne and 43rd) is having our second monthly “Community Cafe” which is a pay what you can pop-up coffee shop and bakery (all proceeds go to TendWell Nonprofit). Last month it was a great time to get to know new faces! House resident Charlie has baked up homemade Gingerbread, Rustic Loafs, pecan fingers, vegan/gluten-free Blueberry Muffins, and DF Coconut Ginger Cardamom Chia Pudding. Come on by!

Whether you're feeling the chill and need a cozy cup of something warm, some comforting food or community connection, you can find it at the Rumble Collective Community Cafe! Sunday November 30th from 11-2, we will be serving up coffee, tea and baked goods. This pop-up, sliding-scale coffee house is open to all! No one turned away for lack of funds- donations greatly appreciated!
