★ Call for Vendors ★

Hi friends! We’re so excited to be announcing Friends Share the Block on September 27th & 28th! It’s going to be an incredible two-day celebration of community, food, arts, and music right here in East Portland at .

We’re looking for vendors of all kinds to join us! Follow the link in our bio to learn more and apply for a spot at our very first community market and block party. And don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions!

EVENT DATES
• Saturday (5-10pm, Night Market + Block Party)
• Sunday (10am-2pm, Family Market + Live Music)

BOOTH FEES
Artist and Makers
$50 for one day, $75 for both days

Food and Beverage Vendors
$150 for one day, $200 for both days

APPLICATIONS DUE
September 7th, 2025
Acceptance notifications on September 10th, 2025

We’re back this September with a full month of events! From Open Mic, Game Night, Commander Night, and craft clubs to all kinds of happenings, we can’t wait to see you.
And don’t miss our biggest event of the year—Friends Share the Block, a two-day block party packed with local music, art, food, and friends!

★ Casual Commander ★

Are you itching to play some Magic the Gathering?! Join us for our last event of the month this Friday, August 29th, from 6pm to 10pm, for another evening of Casual Commander.

Bring your pod, or hop into a new one. All skill levels are welcome, whether you’re a seasoned planeswalker or brand new to the game.

We’re here to connect and have fun as we gather to play some MTG. Space is limited, so come early.

Food and beverages will be available for purchase!

★ Friends Resting ★

With Hood to Coast and a little vacation on the horizon, Friends Share and our Café will be closed all weekends until September 13th. We’re taking this short break to rest and regroup!

That being said, don’t miss our last August event, Magic the Gathering Night, on Friday, August 29th.

We’ve got some exciting things planned for September, and we’re excited to share them with you when we’re back.

Thank you to everyone that came out to the Powellhurst-Gilbert & Centennial Neighborhood cleanup with ! We had a great time hanging out with you and we are eager for the next one!

★ Craft Club ★

Join us for our second Craft Club of the month on Tuesday, August 19th!

This month’s featured craft will be beaded keychains! We’ll provide everything you need to make your own design.

If keychains aren’t your thing, we’ll also have supplies to make beaded friendship bracelets and earrings—so there’s something for everyone.

Suggested donation: $10 to help cover materials and keep our club thriving.

★ Game Night ★

This Saturday, the 16th, we’ll be hosting our first board and switch game night!

Come pick from our selection of board games, or bring a favorite of your own! We’ll be running Nintendo Switch party games on the projector and TV.

Bring yourself, bring some homies, it’s going to be a fun evening!

Come hungry and thirsty, there’ll be food and alcoholic & nonalcoholic drinks available.

A few beautiful moments from another incredible evening. We’re always amazed at how unique and singular each Open Mic feels—this one was no exception. From poetry, to music, to deep meditation, August’s Open Mic was another night to remember.

★ Live From Our Little Living Room ★

We’re so excited to launch Live from Our Little Living Room, our new recorded concert series, on August 15th. It will be an intimate celebration of local music, poetry, and art. For our very first edition, we’re joined by familiar faces and friends of Friends Share. Baylea, Thee Couzin of Death and I Like Your New Haircut!

Doors are at 6pm. The music kicks off at 7pm with I Like Your New Haircut, followed by Thee Couzin of Death, and closes with Baylea performing their new EP, fruit cannot be sad.

This event is free, with a suggested donation of $10–$20 upon arrival—every dollar will go directly to the artists. RSVP in our bio!

The show will be recorded (camera and audio).

Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages will be available to purchase.

We hope you join us as we spotlight these incredible voices and kick off a series made to honor the creatives around us.
