The joys of officiating weddings... you never know what the guests will say!

I was waiting by the floral island before the ceremony started when a little boy of 5 or 6 offered me some safety advice.

He whispered: “Don’t get too close to the flowers. My grandma was standing here and granddad said she got a bee up her butt.” 🤫🐝

Kids take everything literally, they have no filter. Watch what you say around them!

Pro-tip: pack a second, lightweight outfit for them to change into after pictures. They’ll stay cute, stay comfortable, and stay happy for the reception and so will you!

While Oregon law requires your official legal witnesses to be 18 or older, the decorative marriage certificate in your county packet is not a legal document and has no age requirment.
