🍷June 18th | The Maker’s Table welcomes + visual artist for another unforgettable evening of Art, Wine, and Conversation in newly transformed Rothko Pavilion.
🍾About the Wine – In 2006 Clare & Brian moved to Oregon from Napa, where Brian had been working in wine for ten years. We started with a dream and made our first 150 cases in 2006. This Oregon adventure is inspired by our desire to grow grapes, make wine, and to have space for all of Clare’s and Brian’s creative pursuits.

We named our farm and winery after our goal to provide a gracious and welcoming table for ourselves and friends, with a cornucopia of hand-crafted food and wine.

🎨About the Artist – Painter Clare Carver lives on a 130 year-old homestead in Oregon’s Willamette Valley. Her subject matter is garnered from the rural surroundings at Big Table Farm, which she runs with her husband Brian Marcy.

Her life and work are now integrally linked to rural life— raising cattle, pigs, goats, sheep, honey bees and chickens, producing Big Table Farm Wine and working her draft horses. She captures these events with a rich and immediate style, giving her work a signature depth of color.

We were truly honored to recently host the Oregon Black Pioneers Educators event, organized by the Oregon Community Foundation () and Interplay (). Thank you for entrusting us with such a special night!

The event took place in our beautiful Sunken Ballroom, which was spectacularly decorated by Zandi Saleem's floral arrangements. Saleem is a Palestinian American artist, and her primary medium is floral arrangement and set design.

Also, we want to shout out the brilliant Chef Kiara Hardy and her team at Kitchen KIlla Culinary Solutions () for providing the catering and beverage services for this event. Chef Hardy is one of our exclusive caterers, and we love the vibrant tastes and outstanding quality of service that she and her team bring to our events!

The beautiful Fields Sunken Ballroom is a truly special space, perfect for medium- to large-scale events of all types. This spectacular space is elegantly decorated with Greco-Roman columns and plaster friezes. It is not only a striking space in its own right, but one that gives a great range of opportunities for using the services of our decor providers to style it exactly as you wish.

The Sunken Ballroom is part of the Mark Building here on the campus. This building was once the city's principal Masonic Temple, and the decor reflects this heritage.

Over the years, it has been sensitively maintained and restored, and continuously upgraded. Combined with its flexible design and our experienced team, we can provide you with a space that can host the event of your dreams.

From weddings to conferences to drinks receptions, we can host it all. And with a capacity of 500 for a reception, few spaces can match us for size and personality combined!

All of the team here at Portland Art Museum was honored to host the 2025 Miss Indian Northwest pageant! It was a spectacular and beautiful night, with contestants representing tribes from all across the Western United States and Canada.

Congratulations to the winner, Sophia Many Turning Robes (Sophia Turning Robe) representing the Pauquachin First Nation, Spokane Tribe of Indians and Siksika Nation! And thank you to the outgoing Miss Indian Northwest, Clarissa Morninggun, representing the Squamish, Yakama, Blackfeet, and Cowichan.

Thank you to all of the organizers, staff, and volunteers who all worked so hard to make this event so special. PAM Venues is proud to have been a part of this!
