This is a couchsurfing house that will be destroyed in the future. Let's make some memories.

This wonderful house is being demolished in October, to be replaced by luxurious condos. We're living here trying to give it a great send-off into house heaven. Come join our events and paint on the walls. Update: The house finally got demolished but the memories will live on.

Our Story

In April 2017, 5 big kids and a toddler moved into SW Portland and started Demo House.

DEMO HOUSE

DEMOGRAPHIC: We’re a couchsurfing house- meaning we hosted hundreds of travelers around the world for free. We have over 7 sexy couches and 1 bathroom. Why do we do it? We genuine love learning people’s stories. Humans are awesome.

DEMONSTRATE: We believe in sharing new ideas, culture, kindness, different perspectives with each other and the community. This can be be through “demos” ( workshops). Past demos include Bollywood, sushi making, improv comedy, ect. It can also be as simple as having a meal together or chatting with each other. Everyday at this house is an opportunity to learn something new.
