Our Story

Diamond's Edge Restaurant is nestled near the waters of Casco Bay on the shores of Great Diamond Island, rich in history and natural beauty. Visitors can make the quick jaunt via ferry, water taxi, or private boat to explore this off-the-beaten-path island treasure, once the site of a renowned artists' retreat and later home to Fort McKinley. Among the army structures that have been restored is the former Quartermaster's storehouse, which today serves as the setting for our upscale restaurant overlooking Diamond Cove — affectionately dubbed “Cocktail Cove” by the locals.

Known for its creative and delectable cuisine highlighted by spectacular waterfront views, Diamond's Edge Restaurant is a popular choice for visitors and Portland residents alike for lunch, dinner, and cocktails.
