: Cross Insurance Arena is Serving Up Success for Local Non-Profits
The Cross Insurance Arena, owned by Cumberland County and professionally managed by Oak View Group, is celebrating a major community win through its Concessions Fundraiser Program, announcing that in the last year over $192,000 has been raised for more than 100 local non-profit groups.
From high-energy concerts to thrilling Maine Mariners hockey games, community organizations have helped power arena concession stands while raising significant funds for their causes. Participating groups handle the registers during events, while the arena provides a cook and a dedicated stand manager to oversee operations, manage inventory, and assist with sales tracking...
One of the program’s most dedicated groups is The Summit Project (TSP), a Living Memorial organization that honors Maine’s fallen Service Members who have died in the line of duty since September 11, 2001.
“The Concessions Fundraiser Program is our most impactful fundraising opportunity,” said Greg Johnson, Executive Director and member of the TSP Board of Directors. “Our volunteers look forward to every event, not only to raise funds as a team but also to enjoy the experience, and Cross Insurance Arena has become like an extension of our family.” The Summit Project relies solely on community donations to support their fellowship, educational programs, and physical activity events. “These efforts give our Gold Star Families the chance to see their loved ones honored while ensuring Maine’s fallen Service Members are never forgotten.”
