Electric Spaghetti Neon is Nigel Barnes and wife Jen Casebolt. ES offers custom design and fabrication services for all types of neon
and hand-painted signage.

They offer detailed restoration and repair of vintage and antique items, specializing in illuminated signage. Nigel and Jen have over 20 years of experience in the field of restoration. They can design and fabricate neon signs of any size or style, from a simple classic window-hanger sign for a small business, to a large outdoor pole sign, to a brand-new sign with elaborately aged paint and real patina that
looks like it was made 90 years ago and that is made exactly like it would have been done in 1930. ES draws upon the classic design styles
of the 20 th century to create new designs, including Art Deco/Streamline, Mid-Century/Googie, and vernacular roadside signage.

We were lucky to get to work with Electric Spaghetti! .spaghetti.neon

Women’s history month: Eliza Barchus

We are very lucky to have five original Eliza Barchus paintings at The Belle today!

In 1971, the Oregon legislature named Eliza Rosanna Lamb Barchus “The Oregon Artist.” The tribute marked fifty years of Barchus’s work, paintings of western mountains and water features that spread a romantic ideal of the West to the rest of the country.

The FIRST Bride at the Belle!
April 8th, 1896

Winifred Cole, the daughter of David and Amanda Cole who built the Belle in 1885, married E.T. Holgate at her parents home. The Oregonian Weekly reported that, “It was a pretty wedding ceremony, and heartily enjoyed by the relatives and friends present. The rooms were tastefully decorated with ferns, palms and flowers, and presented an attractive apprearance.

Mr. David Cole gave the bride away. After the ceremony the guests extended their congratulations to the newly wedded couple, and then the wedding supper, tasteful and abundant, was served”.
