I just think this is so cool. I wanted to find a brisket for our Jewish holidays that was really authentic… so what did we do? I called and asked if they still can make it. I remember eating it back in the day in NYC and it was really good… so Carnegie says, well, we haven’t made it in awhile but for Zupan’s, why not? So here we are - the only place around to have this truly authentic product for all our Jewish holidays now. It’s damn near as good as my bubbe’s (don’t tell her), and only available - place your order before it sells out :)

Small business appreciation post:
People ask me a lot, “where’s the best place to get….?” - when they ask me about the best chicken in town, I always say . These fine folks raise the best tasting chicken around on their beautiful little farm, near Beaverton. Every couple months I head out there, bring the boys, let them run around with the animals and pickup 4 or 5 chickens. I then freeze them in my garage and thaw them as needed (making sure to keep the bones each time to make stock - they will throw in the chicken feet separately to make the stock even better). Well, this place has been my little secret for the past year or so but now they are able to take on more orders and are hosting a little farm party next month, where you can bring your kids, play with the goats and sheep and birds, and pickup your (preordered) delicious chickens and eggs. Do yourself favor and place an order for some of these outstanding birds and come to their party next month - see for yourself what truly natural, free range, farm raised chickens and eggs taste like :)

I’ve been getting lots of texts and emails about Passover and I’ve got some great news… first, has got you covered. Everything from brisket and matzoh ball soup to house made gefilte fish, maror & charoset (most of which made by yours truly) will be available, so keep your eyes peeled for the online menu in the next couple weeks… but maybe even more exciting is that Dori and I are hosting a Seder in the cellar! This dinner will be in the style of a Seder, but will be a delicious and elegant plated dinner, serving modern takes on Passover classics. Very limited seating available, so if you’re interested in joining us (it will be night 4 so you don’t have to miss your family Seder dinner) we would love to see you there!
