Weekly Farm Chronicles: 2026-14
1. I made a wandering bouquet today, cutting while I walked through rows. The pace of farm work has been frenetic so far this season, so I don’t have as much time to do this lately. I’m glad I did though; the sights and scents of early summer are a real treat.
2-4. Sunflowers, feverfew, yarrow, in that order. I’m cutting massive amounts of each. Almost as soon as I do, they are out the door for orders or off to the market. Thank you again if you’ve bought from me recently!
5. Speaking of the market, this was one of the van loads I took there this week. It often feels like a game of Tetris figuring out how to pack it all in to the back of a Sienna. No delivery van here, but maybe someday!
6. Peach foxglove and raspberry calla lilies are just starting to bloom and they are both breathtaking. I can’t wait to have full buckets of these beauties.
7. The duckies are doing well and have officially been moved to their permanent coop. We’re keeping them in a large run for now, because they have a penchant for slipping through our neighbors fence and waddling over to their property. Once we figure out a solution to that we’ll give them a little more free rein to wander around the farm.
That’s it for this week! Don’t forget you can buy our flowers at the farm stand (open Wednesday - Friday), or by ordering a DIY Event Bucket or custom bouquet. Check out our website for more info (link in bio).
