This is a vintage piece that I found on Marketplace awhile back. It is a vintage Oriental 4-panel room divider. I used it as a headboard for my bed and now I am using it to divide the foyer and my office/library.
You can use dividers in a lot of ways in your home. I’ve also used this one as an artful “closet” to hide areas in the living room I did not want to be seen.
It is a hand painted nature scene of birds in the trees with another design on back. It is all wood and has stood the test of time as it is still beautifully stunning 🤩.
Dividers like these are sold in various designs and materials to suit your taste.

I am having so much fun decorating our new home! Come on in 😊

I wanted our space to represent and pay homage to the roots of our existence. My husband and I are both of African and Caribbean descent. While he is a city boy from Long Island, I am an island girl who grew up in Florida. His style is more chic and modern; and I’m more vintage tropical. 🌴

It should be interesting to see how our styles mix!
I’m calling it “Afritropic”. 😁

Whew! We are still in the process of moving to our fabulous “new to us”. We have been busy. All of my vintage stuff is in boxes so I won’t be selling anything for awhile. Instead help me decorate my new home with a mix of vintage and modern furniture and home decor!

Check out these hand woven basket from Senegal 🇸🇳! I love these because they are a stylish way to hide toys, blankets, clothes, whatever you like. Add them in a corner in your living room or bedroom for a fresh take on the bohemian vibe. You can find them online or at your local African art store. 😍

Finally.

Every set has a story. I thought this set would be a beautiful addition to someone’s holiday table setting. I had a lot of offers and folks who showed interest on Facebook Marketplace and eBay. But, either we could not agree on price or they no showed after saying they were coming to purchase. 🙄

But, today the right customer came and picked up Empress Gold assorted dishes by Sango. Sometimes you have to be patient and wait for the right buyer- someone who appreciates your product and is willing to pay your price. Thanks to my customer! 🌸
