I don’t think I’ve ever had a Bride & Groom as relaxed and in the moment as Ciani & Dan. 🤍✨

They trusted their planning team and their vendors, allowing themselves to be fully PRESENT—to soak in the love, share the laughter, and enjoy every moment together.

As their planner, that meant everything to me. So much goes into a wedding day, and watching our couple truly enjoy what we’ve worked together to create is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do.

I have always been an advocate for breast cancer awareness. Never in a million years did I imagine that something I supported so passionately would one day become part of my own journey. 🎀

Being a part of a mission was preparing me for something-that required me to have an awareness! I didn’t have a full understanding of why it was so important to me then, but I followed my passion and purpose and God’s calling.

As Breast Cancer Awareness Month begins today, it carries a different weight for me. In November of 2024 I was diagnosed with Stage 0 DCIS -and by the time I went in for surgery I had Stage 2 breast cancer as I underwent a bilateral mastectomy. Although I have come a long way, my journey is not over. I am still healing, still adjusting, and currently participating in a clinical trial while continuing treatment.

The pink ribbon represents something I’m living through—the exhaustion, the changes in my body, the uncertainty, and the emotions that don’t always show on my face. I’m grateful to God for carrying me through, but this journey has not been easy. I’m still learning to give myself grace.

Please, schedule your mammogram when you’re due. Check your breasts, know what’s normal for your body, and speak to your doctor about any changes. Self-checks don’t replace mammograms. Don’t keep putting yourself last. 💗EARLY DETECTION MATTERS!

And if you know a cancer patient or survivor, check on them and be present. Make the call. Send the text. Offer help. Listen. Keep showing up—even when they look like they’re doing fine.

Behind that smile may be a battle you know nothing about. Your presence can mean more than you realize.

Rest in Peace to those who lost the fight! And sending love and encouragement to those who are currently fighting!
