I am thankful to all Veterans who have unselfishly sacrificed and fought, not just for themselves and their families, but for all people and all families of the United States of America and around the world! A lot goes into planning the National Veterans Wheelchair Games. I had the pleasure to oversee the planning/logistics/setup of the expo. Awesome to see it all come together! Everything went smoothly and the exhibitors and sponsors were great! The athletes are amazing and ready for this week's games!!!

It's been a rough week for me, I'm still not my best. As an Event Planner, it's always great to see your work unfold in the vision set. Today, I am heading to Portland for the National Veterans Wheelchair Games. It's the most complex event I help to plan but it's also my favorite. I am looking forward to seeing all the athletes compete in the most adaptive way.

June 12 is Women Veterans Day and we celebrate our women veterans and their service. It's not recognized federally but some states do.

Women Veterans Day is observed on June 12 to mark the anniversary of the Women's Armed Services Integration Act which allowed women to be members of the military.
