We provide an indoor play area located in our secret underground facility for up to 20 players. Game modes will include team matches with two or four teams at a time. Capture the flag, center flag, and plant the device will all be common scenarios. Laser tag is an activity that allows groups of people to play together while still maintaining distance from each other. Masks will be required while t
he state mandate is still in place and all needed steps to ensure safety will be observed with all game equipment being sanitized by staff before a new player touches it. Redline games will be conducted under close supervision to ensure that they are a drug, alcohol, smoking, and bully free environment. Laser tag is a game for everyone and everyone needs to feel safe coming to play. I believe personal responsibility, courage, teamwork, and leadership are important facets of a person and we can't teach them to others with just words. Children learn from example. If we want to be respected we have to earn that respect. I also believe that each kid is the hero of their own story and I want to see them get the chance to feel heroic in a safe and engaging environment. Sportsmanship will also be encouraged. Seeing players be able to take a defeat with their heads held high and more important, to be gracious victors. Because victory or defeat, there is no way of knowing what the next match will hold. Effort counts. Well, other than the little ones on the side of the taggers that list your shots and hit points. One of the biggest reasons I am putting Redline together is to offer an activity that pulls kids away from their phones and lets them stretch their legs and fill their lungs. All of the excitement of a video game with the added incentive of actually having to move around and talk to other people. For younger players I have selected science fiction looking taggers instead of realistic replicas. These are not "guns" or "weapons". They are taggers or blasters and the game is not about shooting each other. It's called Laser TAG for a reason. It's a small difference, I know but an important one. It's important the environment we create. The taggers have a kids setting with pew pew laser sounds and verbal tag notifications such as "Player Eliminated". For older and adult players in games with no young children, I can turn off that setting to allow machinegun sounds and other notifications.
