What typically takes 5 minutes to do, will take 30 minutes on wedding day. Examples: bride getting into dress or taking a group photo.

Be sure to factor that into the plans for the day and allow plenty of "cushion" so you don't feel rushed😊

This tip is for the guests, essentially everyone that sees this..... please arrive at least 15 minutes early to the ceremony. This allows you to park and find a seat before the bride begins her walk down the aisle. It can be distracting to the bride when guests are also walking to the ceremony at the same time she is. So if you are running late please honor their moment and enjoy the ceremony from afar until she reaches her groom!

A walkthru is so important to us as wedding coordinators. We do not show up blindly at the rehearsal having never seen our work space! We get acquainted with the venue and our couples' vision well in advance of wedding day!

This week we had a walkthru at a venue that is near to us with a couple that is dear to us. Anyone recognize this fountain on the lake? Hundreds of ceremonies have taken place with this water feature in the background. Oh, and here’s a hint: This venue makes every bride feel like a princess ♥️🏰♥️

Make sure you have a designated group of people to be the "take down" crew at the end of the night. Most couples have an army of helpers to set up the decor before the wedding, but the end is important too......Who is taking the gifts and cards? Where will the flowers go? Leftover food and alcohol? Rental items need to be returned? What about that top tier?

Don't forget to assign these important duties so you can enjoy that honeymoon!🤍

Consider having a wedding day emergency kit prepared with items such as Tylenol, Pepto, sewing kit, tide pens, bandaids, deodorant, breath spray, safety pins, etc. One of our brides had everything in a little plastic tote with a lid for easy transport and set it out in the bridal suite for anyone to grab and go.

These events are sometimes free (or very low cost) so make it an outing with your fiance or bride tribe. Another fun fact? McKenna tried on 18 before saying YES to the very first dress she ever tried on. Here is a glimpse of her process at Olivier Couture in Mandeville, trying on some styles before going back to with the gorgeous pearl details!
