A note from Pam Southard, Executive Director, Greater Pooler Area Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Bureau, Inc.
As you know Pooler Patriot Weekend is just around the corner. And COVID and variant of such is here, rearing its ugly head. So many events are being canceled due to the proximity of folks attending. These cancelations/postponements will only continue. After speaking with health officials, board of directors and staff, as well as other business leaders, I feel that it is so important for the chamber to take a stand, focusing on keeping our residents, business community, and our visitors safe. As of this writing, we have made the hard decision to postpone Pooler Patriot Weekend. With the expectation of having over 8,000 folks attending, not counting our vendors and food trucks, we feel this is the right decision. I personally want to thank everyone who so generously sponsored this event, our food truck and marketplace vendors, our city and first responders, staff and board, who helped with the planning of this event. This was a hard decision but the right and safe thing to do. Please know that the chamber will host this event when it is safe to do so. We look forward to seeing you then.

Pooler Patriot Weekend Returns
Honoring Pooler’s First Responders, Military, and Veterans
The Greater Pooler Area Chamber of Commerce is honored to present Pooler Patriot Weekend this September. The weekend will kick off on Friday, September 10, 2021, with an enjoyable evening of free admission to a first-run film along with complimentary pizza and beverages at two locations in Pooler. The excitement continues into Saturday morning as various locations around Pooler open their doors for classes, specials, or activities to experience. Take the opportunity to enjoy things like complimentary ballroom dance or clay pottery wheel classes.
Pooler Patriot Weekend’s mainstage event will take place on Saturday, September 11, at the Pooler Sports Complex on Preston Stokes Drive from 4 pm until Dark:30. Join us as we honor Pooler’s First Responders, Military, and Veterans at this community event, and the day also includes food trucks, marketplace vendors, rides, and inflatables. Bring your blankets and lawn chairs to enjoy an afternoon of demos by community performers followed by a live feature performance by Liquid Ginger. The evening will conclude with a magnificent fireworks display sponsored by Dozier Crane.
Finally, on Sunday, September 12, 2021, the weekend wraps up with a pancake breakfast, a pool party at the Y, and reduced admission to the National Museum of the Mighty Eighth Airforce.
