Last few hours to register for Sunday August 3rd Murabella Kids Triathlon

The Murabella Kids Triathlon is on Sunday August 3, 2025. It includes the following events: Kids Triathlon Ages 12,13 and 14, Kids Triathlon Ages 5,6,7 and 8, and Kids Triathlon Ages 9,10 and 11.

Kids Triathlon Families,

We are very excited about Sundays Kids Triathlon event at Murabella, The race is located at Murabella's amenity area located at 101 East Positano Avenue, Saint Augustine, Fl 32092

Parking is very limited in their parking lot and advise you to park on E. Positano Avenue or Murabella Parkway. You should arrive between 7:45 am and 8:15 to find parking and come to the registration tent located by the playground adjacent to the parking lot.

We will walk through the course and transitions at 8:40 am - You do not want to miss this

Your athlete who should be wearing a bathing suit. Bring a bicycle, a bicycle helmet, a shirt ( which you will pin on racing number), socks, running shoes, a towel, you're welcome to also bring swimming goggles and a cap if desired.

You'll bring all those items to the registration tent.

You will be directed to walk bicycle to the bike drop off area across the soccer field next to the jogging trail. Kids must be able to recognize their bike when they run to them so they grab the correct bike - You may want reinforce this or label with name on bike Leave helmet with bike Parents of young children are welcome and encouraged to accompany them during the race. Then return without bike to pool area.

At 9 am kids will be lined up at the pool area according to their racing number. Kids bib numbers are 1-100 with youngest kids with the lowest numbers. We will be using 4 lanes of the pool. So number 1 is in first, 2 is second etc.. Regarding swim distances - kids ages 5,6,7,8 will go up and back in the pool (2 lengths) then exit pool, ages 9,10,11 will go 4 lengths of pool, ages 12,13,14 will go 6 lengths of pool.

After they exit pool through the side gate they will go to where their shirts (with pinned bib on front) towels, helmets, socks and shoes are outside pool gate. They will towel off, put on socks and shoes, they will put on shirt with bib pinned top front and helmets. Parents are welcome to assist, they will then run to their bikes.
They will recognize their bikes and put on helmet ( they already have on shirt ( with bib), socks and shoes and bike the biking loop which will be marked. Parents may and encouraged ride with small kids to assist. We advise children NOT to pass other kids while on the bike portion - the trail is not wide and we do not want anyone to fall.

After the completed loop - they will drop off bike at bike drop off area and will leave bike (and helmet). Parents may assist.

Kids then will run a marked loop on the soccer field under the arch. Kids 5,6,7,8 year olds will run the loop a single time. Kids 9,10,11 will run that loop going under the arch 2 times, kids ages 12,13, 14 will run that loop 3 times and under the arch 3 times. The finish time will not record unless they go under the arch the correct number of times. Kids must be wearing the bibs on the front of their shirts to receive a time.
