2026 Pine Point Full Size Chain Rules.
Fullsize chain will be old school build.
Any North American factory built, hardtop, passenger car can enter except for the following:
1973 and older Imperials or cars with pre-1974 Imperial frames No sui Lincolns 03s are
allowed must run stock cradle.
Frame
1.Absolutely no seam welding is allowed, on frame or body.
2.You may shorten the front most part of the frame rails only. The front frame must not be
shortened to far that the 1” all thread must pass through the factory stamped hole. If you
remove the body mount completely or relocate it, you will not run.
3. No frame shaping anywhere on frame.
4.Pre-ran vehicles will be allowed (4) 5x5x1/8” plates, these plates can only be on one side of
the frame. There must be a 1” gap between fix it plates. We need to see a proof of bend to
warranty the plate call before fixing 218-686-7488.
5. Notching/Dimpling is allowed, pre-bending rear frame rails is allowed. You cannot weld
your notches back together
Bumper
1. stock bumpers only no loading or homemade bumpers you may weld the chrome skin to
the backing.
2. you may use a square tube no larger than 4x4x1/8" ends must remain open. no capping
end of tube or bumpers! no added material to weld bumper on bumper to existing shock or
you can hardnose the bumper with no added filler
3. Cannot exceed 24” to the bottom of the bumper/frame from the ground and it must be a
minimum of 18” from the ground to the bottom of the bumper or frame in the rear, whichever
is lower. Rear rails cannot be higher than 24” at start of event for fresh cars.
BODY
1. Doors Each door seam may have a maximum of 2 chains 3/8” chain or #9 wire. Only 1 may
go around frame Drivers Door can be welded shut. One chain=4 wraps of #9 wire. All 4 wraps
must be together
2.you may weld or bolt a driver’s door plate on 24” wide max cannot be more than 3” past
door seam
3.no shaping of body or floor allowed Any shaping of these areas will result in a load situation.
4.Body cannot be pounded over and chained or bolted
5.Frame Mounts-Body bolts will be allowed to be replaced with same size bolt as stock body
bolt no larger than 3/4! bolts may go throw the body no larger than a 3x3 washer on top or
bottom! bolt must be up inside of the frame no bolting to the outside and must have a 1 inch
spacer in between the top of frame and bottom of body if body is sucked tight to frame you
will be asked to put in a spacer or load your car.
6. trunks may have up to 4 3/8 chains or #9 wire in 4 spots. no threaded rod allowed in the
trunk area. you may tuck your trunk lid no more than 50% or cut off trunk lid. if trunk lid is left
stock trunk lid will need to be open during inspection you are not allowed to have a rear
window bar!
Hoods and Front Clips1. Hood must have at least a 12-inch square hole cut out in case of fire. Any holes in hood
may be bolted back together with (4) 3/8” or less bolts and 1.25” diameter washer to pinch the
hood sheet metal back together. You may cut multiple holes but do not exceed the 4 bolts.
2.You are allowed 6 spots to hold the hood on; you must have a minimum of 4 tie down spots.
max size of 3/8 chain or #9 wire the front 2 and back 2 may be thread rod up to 1 inch the
front 2 can go through the core support and body mount hole! hoods must be open during
inspection
3.Core supports must be factory to the car you are running core support must go in the
factory location, no sliding forward or backwards. It must line up with the stock bolthole
4. Sheet Metal Rust Repair-DO NOT cut any sheet metal you are repairing out. Sheet metal
must be same thickness as body, repair sheet metal must remain flat, no forming or rolling
plate to add strength. This metal can exceed 2” past rusty metal.
5. Front Window Bars all cars must have something in the front window opening, chain/9 wire/
plate. If you are using plate, it cannot exceed 3”x3/8” flat strapping, it cannot extend more
than 6” on firewall and 6” from windshield opening. No more than (2) chain/9 wire/plate in
front window opening.
6. Wheel wells you may cut wheel wells for tire clearance Fenders may not be bolted back
together.
7.Radiators when mounting the radiator, you must NOT reinforce the core support in any way.
Motor's and Transmission Mounting
1.engine cross breeding is allowed. use your motor of choice
2.Engine Protector-lower cradle will be allowed only to be bolted into location no welding
lower cradle to engine saddle! no dist protector front pulley protector are ok if you removed
front sway bar!
3.Engine must attach like factory
4.You may run an aftermarket bellhousing, but it may not be connected to frame,
crossmember, cage, or engine cradle. If running an aftermarket bellhousing you must make a
12” long cut down the center of the floor above the bellhousing. transmission protectors are
NOT allowed.
5.Transmissions must mount like factory and must use mount made for that car no
homemade mounts.
6.Slider drive shafts are allowed
Cage
1.All cage material may be no larger than 6” diameter dash bar and seat bar can only be 4”
diameter or less and you may use only one, no doubling of these bars. door bar lengths are
not to exceed 62”. This bar must not extend more than 18” behind the center post on a fourdoor and 10” behind the center post on a two-door car.
2.All bars must be on the interior of the vehicle The bar behind the seat can be no further than
6” behind the seat and must follow the center post rule above. Cage may be gusseted at
each joint and one on each side of the gas tank protector. All bars must be straight bars
nothing contoured to the body. All cage components must be a minimum of 4” off the floor.
Dash bar will be measured at the transmission tunnel; all other bars will be measured at the
nearest part of the floor (This includes the gas tank protector). No cage components may be
welded to the floor. All cage components must be at least 6” away from the firewall at the start
of the event. NOTHING can be closer the 6’’
3.Halo/Rollover bars must be attached to the 4-point cage following the length of bar rules
above. Can be welded to floor with no larger material than 2”x3”x1/4”. Must be vertical, not
angled forward or back. The bars may be bolted to the roof with (4) 1/2” bolts.
4.Gas Tank Protector tubing for protector must be 4” diameter or smaller. The protector must
be no wider than 24”, must be at least 6” off the floor, and must be in the center of the car.
Protector must have a 1” gap between the rear package tray and any sheet metal and cannot
be attached to package tray, sheet metal, or frame, If you extend the gas tank protector
above the package tray it must be perfectly vertical and not extend more than 6” above the
speaker deck.
Wheels, Suspension,Steering and Rear Suspension
1.Rear suspension must remain stock. no braced rear-ends allowed. You may replace rear
springs or you may use a maximum of 2 spring expanders per spring. You may weld posi in
rear ends. on leafed cars your allowed a max of 4 leaf spring clamps
2.Rear Control Arms must remain stock no adding or filling them no aftermarket or square
tubing control arms
3.Wheels no bigger than 16”, no split rims, no studded tires. Doubled tires are ok , we don’t
want any flats! Foam filled tires are not allowed on drive tires. Valve stem protectors are ok.
You may run weld in centers.
4.Front Suspension must remain shocks your allowed to swap a-arms with no modifications
aftermarket steering shafts are allowed The front suspension of cars can be welded to
achieve desirable bumper height. Front suspension may be modified by welding or bolt down
a-arms if welded 2 ½ inches wide by 3 inch long stap 1 in front of a-arm and one on the back
we will measure and if there to long you will have to cut Tie Rods must be stock
