The last tip is regarding your monogram. It's best to use the first initials of your first names until after the ceremony as per etiquette. Keep in mind this is etiquette, but no one can force you to do anything. It's Your wedding! Do what makes you the happiest! Planning a wedding should be fun and exciting; not stressful! Enjoy!

The only exception to this rule of inviting guests to the wedding and not the reception is when the wedding is an open church affair and the entire congregation is invited to the wedding. This is a very old tradition.
When a newlywed couple invite some guests to the reception and not all, it makes some guests feel they aren’t worthy to share in the celebration. It is hurtful and unkind. As tradition change, the wedding industry has introduced more ways to handle these situations.
